CNMP Certification

The USDA-NRCS has developed new Technical Service Provider (TSP) Certification requirements for TSPs certified in the Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plan (CNMP) areas that are documented within NRCS’s “General Manual Title 190 Part 405.11”. The criteria and qualifications needed to become a TSP are specified on the TechReg Web Site.

Note:
These new requirements replace the “General Manual Title 180 Part 490.10” requirements that the Iowa State University (and formerly The University of Tennessee) CNMP certification training program(s) were originally designed to meet. Additionally, the new NRCS policy states that “in addition to the general requirements, the NRCS State Conservationist will establish certification requirements specific to elements of a CNMP”.
